Each year just before Christmas expats living in Qatar gather to sing some well known Christmas Carols in the desert. The event in 2014 was held just near a small local village North of Doha. Previous years saw a much larger gathering of people at an area called the "Singing Dunes" located South of Doha.
A Christmas Carol is a song or hymn whose lyrics are on the theme of Christmas, and which are traditionally sung on Christmas itself, or during the surrounding holiday season. Christmas Carols can be regarded as a subset of the broader category of Christmas music.
This cache was placed in a place overlooking the area everyone gathered to join in song and can easily be reached by a sedan with reasonable ground clearance.
