Welcome to the Self Guided Tour (SGT) Historic Schools of Fort Collins Whereigo cache.
This is a cache is meant to be enjoyed as a way to get to know some of the history and the schools that made up early Fort Collins. Each location takes you to a different location where a school is or was around in the 1900's in Fort Collins History.
This Whereigo is designed for smart devices but a GPS might work. I hope so but no guarantees.
All information in this were taken from the book THEN & NOW FORTCOLLINS authored by Barbara Flemin and Malcolm McNeill. The photos were also taken from this book though credit in the book belongs to the Fort Collins Library and Museum. I would recommend buying this book if your interested in Fort Collins History. The book can be purchased at Costco.
This cache can take some time if you are reading and taking your time or can be done fairly quickly if just for the cache. I hope you take the time to read about these schools as it was meant to be a learning experience.
The starting point is a parking lot and the tour. This cache will have you out and about some but all are attained easily by sidewalk.
