Cache is a well camouflaged micro in the woods.
I'm not a big fan of Micro's nonetheless Micro's in the woods. But, it can still be a great caching experience if done correctly. That being said, I give you........... RangerDoc's Micro In The Woods (On An Island)!
The Al Bungard Conservation Area is named for former Chatham County Engineer Al Bungard. He was responsible for many projects that impact us daily; Truman Parkway, multiple flood/drainage mitigation projects, and this fine park.
This conservation area is chock full of wildlife - take your time and stroll about, lots to see. Fishing is allowed and there are multiple picnic tables to enjoy!
Be sure to check out the other caches in the park also!
Park hours are from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM (a large gate gets locked).
