Mogget is loose!
Ignored by 300 years of Abhorsen neglect and disinterest during a period of peace, Mogget has grown wild and fled Ahborsen's House. He was last seen at the Mills Ridge Trailhead, and is presumed somewhere down the trail. The new Abhorsen asks for the help of all charter mages to find Mogget so he can be rebound to the service of the Abhorsen once again.
It is well known that Mogget is a free magic creature bound by a collar of charter spells. He can be very elusive, and under no circumstances should his collar be removed, as only the Abhorsen has the ring which can rebind him.
There are two options to find Mogget. Either park at the Vineyard Trailhead near the Roosevelt bridge and dam, or drive up FR 429 to the Mills Ridge Trailhead. This latter road is steep, and may require high clearance depending on the weather. The Vineyard trail, a section of the Arizona Trail, is a 6+ mile hike between these two points. On your trek, you may even find another Letterbox from the First Age of Middle Earth. Coordinates may be dicey as the free magic interferes with the GPS signal.
This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
There is a name on the inside of the container that will be of use in Binding the Destroyer.
