En gascon, "truc" signifierait monticule... cette plage du Cap-Ferret passe pour être l'une des plus agréables et des plus jolies... on y accède en traversant une forêt ... verte !
Appréciée pour son sable blanc et fin, la plage du Truc Vert l'est aussi pour ses vagues qui en font un "spot" de surf reconnu de tous les amateurs. Les fameuses "baïnes", petits bassins en basque, induisent des forts courants circulaires et dangereux pour qui s'y aventure sans connaître, et forgent un relief littoral mouvant et évolutif...
Même si école de surf, campings et aire de pique-nique y ont pris leur quartier, l'endroit reste sauvage et tranquille, on y accède par un long sentier en caillebotis !
De nombreuses activités aussi bien sur l'eau que sur la terre ou le sable sont possibles, balades en vélo, équitation, circuits balisés... notamment ce long chemin construit par les allemands et aujourd'hui réhabilité en promenade à travers la forêt qui permet de rejoindre le Cap Ferret...
Pourquoi mon intérêt pour le "VERT" ?
Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2) était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches qui ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un challenge consistant à y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce defi ne peut malheureusement pas s'appliquer aux boîtes de taille micro et nano.

In Gascon language, "truc" would mean hillock ... In french, "truc" also means "thing". This beach of Cap Ferret is known to being one of the most pleasant and of the most attractive ... we reach it by crossing a forest ... green!
Appreciated for its white and fine sand, the beach of the Truc Vert is also known for its waves which make it a "spot" of recognized surfing of all the amateurs. The famous "baïnes", the small ponds in Basque, lead strong circular and dangerous currents for whom ventures there without knowing, and forge an unstable and evolutionary littoral relief...
Even if school of surfing, campsites and picnic area took their district there, the place remains wild and quiet, we reach it by a long path in duck-boards!
Numerous activities as well on the water as on the earth or the sand are possible, bike rides, riding, marked out circuits ... in particular this long way built by German and today rehabilitated in walk through the forest which permit to join Cap Ferret...
Why my interest for the "VERT" ?
My first geocache ( GC3VHY2) was a green box, with a green pen, a green log book and green items for exchange. So was born the idea to place the caches which followed under the sign of the "VERT" ("GREEN" in French) and to propose a challenge consisting in depositing there rather "VERT" objects. This challenge cannot unfortunately concern the caches in nano or micro size.
