Geocache Description:

"Good news, everyone!" The cool book cache that was previously here was archived in August of 2013. Having noticed this as an opportunity to replace a geocache along the beautiful Ipswich River, we've put in a cammoed plastic container to provide enjoyment... IN THE FUTURE.

Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, or simply Professor, is a fictional character in the American animated television series Futurama. He is voiced by Billy West, using a combination of impressions of Burgess Meredith and Frank Morgan. Farnsworth is the mad scientist proprietor of the Planet Express delivery service, for whom the main characters work. He alternates between intelligence and amoral senility due to his centenarian age - he has always mastered any field of science necessary for the series' plots, and is implied to be one of the most brilliant inventors on Earth, but he falls asleep constantly, and he is implied to routinely have sent his former crews on suicide missions.

The Professor teaches at Mars University but spends most of his time inventing ridiculous devices and sending the Planet Express delivery crew on suicide missions. What he is a professor of is never explicitly stated. In the episode Mars University, when asked what he is teaching, he responds: "The same thing I teach every semester, the mathematics of quantum neutrino fields. I made up the title so no student would dare take it"; however, this declaration has not precluded the professor from demonstrating mastery of whatever field of science is convenient for a given episode's plot.

Professor Farnsworth is characterized by the catch-phrase "Good news, everyone!", frequently followed by very bad news or the announcement of a suicide mission. On the very few occasions he has actual good news, he opens with "Bad news, everyone!" Another is his exclamation, "Sweet Zombie Jesus!" He often says "Eh wha?" when unaware of the situation, or when someone questions a statement he has just made. The Professor often makes mutually contradictory statements just moments apart; this happens especially often when briefing his employees, with the prevailing second statement cancelling a much more reassuring first sentence. For example, in "The Sting", he tells the crew their mission is to collect "ordinary honey." When told that it doesn't sound so dangerous, the Professor responds angrily, "This is no ordinary honey!"

THE REAL FARNSWORTH namesake is Raymond A. Farnsworth, this is his Canoe Landing and Conservation Area. He was a great Ipswich River champion and long time conservation commissioner.

The First-To-Find prize is a coin rarer than our usual leave, a silver 1960 Canadian quarter. Mr. fayezee collects Canadian silver, so we thought this to be appropriate. In 1968, Canada shifted away from silver in its dimes and quarters in regular circulation (the USA did so 4 years prior, in 1964). "Sweet Zombie Jesus," Geo-Knot reels in the FTF honors, well done!
