Geocache Description:

So it is about that time of year again but this year will be alittle different.  You won't be driving to the same area over and over, and you you won't learn anything from movies. After bouncing back and forth about how I was going to play it this year.  But then I look at the clock and decided to give Traditional for every day, so it took me to "Traditions".  This year I will be the one giving you some stories and holiday information about traditions we have grown to love and adore.

For this tradition I am sharing with you Jingle bells. This is a very popular American Christmas Carol that was written in 1850s in Medford, Massachusetts or Savannah, Georgia by James Lord Pierpont. Jingle Bells" was originally copyrighted with the name "One Horse Open Sleigh" on September 16, 1857.[6] It was reprinted in 1859 with the revised title of "Jingle Bells, or the One Horse Open Sleigh". The song has since passed into public domain. Another historical tidbit about the song is that it was the first song to be broadcasted from space thanks to a smuggled harmonica and bells by the Gemini 6 crew members.
