Geocache Description:

I thought this nice area needed some more caches. Nothing fancy here, just a simple hide in the woods. The cache name is a hint for where you need to leave the trail. You are looking for a small lock&lock container.

CERA (Conservation and Environmental Research Areas) is a 50-acre nature preserve on the UMBC campus. A roughly 1-mile trail loops through it, accessible from the BWTech research park just off I-195. For more information, see the related web page.

Long pants are highly recommended in the summertime!

Please use the recommended parking and trailhead waypoints. Parking is easiest on weekends, but visitor parking is available at other times. See the waypoint descriptions for details. Do not attempt to access the cache from Sulphur Spring Rd, Shelbourne Rd, or I-195!

From the trailhead, follow the white blazes until you see the CERA sign, then turn right and hike on the white-blazed loop trail in either direction. Terrain rating is 3 because you will need to cross a small creek. Watch out for muddy spots and occasional thorns. Enjoy the hike!
