Small size cache hidden amongst trees. Has notebook, pen, FTF Trackable and a 63 Not Out Trackable which is personalized with Phillip Hughes's picture and a cricket bat keychain. My hopes are that it eventually makes it to his family in Macksville,NSW, Australia.
This Cache is placed in memory of #408 Phillip Hughes, Australian Cricketer, that died on November 27,2014, in a tragic cricketing accident. This tragedy, has touched me in a personal way. I am friends with people in his family and it has affected them deeply.
Phillip's Australian number was 408. The day of the accident he had scored 63 runs. He was then struck in the head with the next ball, suffered a traumatic brain injury and died on the 27th of November. They ruled him as injured and not out. Hence the saying, he will be forever remembered as 63 NOT OUT. Phillip is the youngest player to ever score a century in both his innings of a test cricket match. He was amazing and had a heart of gold. His friends, family and fans will never forget him.
He would have had a birthday on the 30th of November. This song was written for him and tells a beautiful story about his life. I hope you enjoy the words.
Sixty Three Not Out (by Zac Kels)
And for all that they threw at him
Couldn’t hold the battler down
From the SCG to Cape Town
He did his family proud
His brothers won’t forget him
Number four zero eight
The baggy green sits heavy
For our little country mate
Through all his ups and downs
One goal still remained
To honor his family
His country and his name
So hold your bats up high
Because there is no doubt
that in our hearts you’ll always be
sixty-three not out.
That in our hearts your’ll always be
sixty-three not out.Sixty Three Not Out (by Zac Kels)
