Salmo Pond is adjacent to Black Earth Creek south of US Highway 14, offers shoreline fishing, an accessible fishing pier, and picnic areas.
Over the years I have visited this spot any number of times while bicycling in the area. While predominately a fishing spot it is also a nice place for a quite picnic. There is also a short, but enjoyable hiking path around the pond.
The appropriate permit has been obtained from the Dane County Parks Department. A copy of which is in the cache container. Please do not remove.
