CTM: Guignard Brickworks

Hours of Operation:
There are no hours of operation to visit this site. Just please be respectful of the nearby apartments.

Historical Information:

The original Guignard Brickworks was located near the Battle of Congaree Creek situated on DNR land. It was founded in 1803, and the bricks made there were used in a lot of the local buildings. Operations closed during the Civil War. The kilns and buildings you see here were built later, and the bricks made here were used in rebuilding Columbia and the surrounding area after the Civil War
