This new series of caches will take you to some of the lesser known areas of Dr. Lawless park. All these are winter friendly unless we get over 3 feet of snow. There are four trailhead entrances to this park of almost 1,000 acres. 2 on the north side off M-60, 1 on the West side just South of the creek on Lewis Lake Rd. and the main entrance on the South side on Monkey Run St. This is a very unique place located between a large Beaver Dam and a Bald Eagles nest.
This cache has been in the works for awhile after a friend of mine informed me of an Eagles nest back in here. When you reach gz look to the east about 150 yards up in a giant pine tree. You will see a very large Bald eagles nest that had 2 adults and 2 chicks in it last year. The creek on your right has a long beaver dam about 4-5 feet high up at the entrance to the lake. About 200 yards. The cache is plenty far enough away from the nest so as not to disturb them if they return.
