The European Space Research Program (ESRO) Station is situated up Moody Brook to the south of the road. Built in 1968 the ESRO Station served as a relay station for satellites passing over the Falklands up until 1973. The radio signals were received on large antenna and relayed back to the organisations headquarters in Germany.
The ESRO Station is accessible by surfaced roads or alternatively it is a 30 minute walk from Stanley
