This part of the Trans Canada Trail runs right along side of the Nanaimo River. In the summer it is a great place to cool off from the heat. In winter the high water levels are a sight to see. There are a few other caches in the area, so spend some time and find them as they will take you from where you park right down to the water. Please use caution there are steep areas and would not advise taking really small children or strollers.
Parking for the cache is right along side of Nanaimo River Rd. there is a large red gate. Follow trails towards the river. Just before the last steep hill you will see a trail marker saying Trans Canada Trail. Follow that trail headed down river. The cache is a large camoed plastic container. Other than in the heat of the summer you shouldn't have to worry too much about muggles. Cache is about 3-5 meters off the trail.
