Sandia Geeks & K9: Sorry guys, I just don't have the time to get down there and replace it. If someone would like to take this cache over that would be great. Sincerely SG&K9

This is in a little park and overnight camping area along the Rio Grande river below the Elephant Butte Dam. It is near a structure that looks like a little castle. It has a door that is still marked powder house, hence the name. I asume it stored explosives during building of the dam. This is part of the Elephant Butte park system so a day use pass or parks pass is required for any extendede stay. Permission to place was from Kay Dunlap, park superintendent.
The cache is a camoed spice bottle well hidden. It is an easy hike but requires a bit of climbing and bush whacking. There is a bit of swag and a pencil along with the log book. A presidential gold dollar is for the FTF.
