January 2015 Event: Gopher Tortoises at Seminole State Park
We will be at Seminole State Park State Park near Bainbridge, GA

The January 2015 GGA event will be at Seminole State Park! We will meet at 1:00 pm at Group Shelter #5. Look for the GGA banner.
THERE IS PARK ENTRANCE FEE of $5.00 per car to enter the park.
Did you know that the gopher tortoise is the official state reptile of Georgia? Come and find out all about them with a presentation and hike (less than 2 miles) with the folks at Seminole State Park. If the weather cooperates, the ranger will take us on a hike and show us the habitats and trails of the gopher tortoise. If the weather is bad, we'll stay in the group shelter and the ranger will show us using pictures.
As always donations of snacks, drinks, and prize table items are welcome!
This event is in association with the Georgia Geo-campers who will be camping at the treehouse this weekend.
