This fall I placed some challenge caches suggested by Zoothornrollo, a geocacher from Texas. There have been a number of suggestions that I create a 5x5 Contiguous County Challenge, but I have resisted that as not different enough from the existing 5x5 County Challenge. In thinking about it, I realized that I needed to think on a larger scale.

The concept of this challenge is easy enough: Find five different cache types in five different nations (countries) for a total of 25 caches overall. But, there are some restrictions…

THE RULES

Locationless caches, lab caches, and traveling caches do not qualify for this challenge.
Only one event cache of any type per Nation will qualify.
Your home nation does qualify for this challenge!
You may use any cache that used as a qualifier for The 5x5 County Challenge, The 5x5 Non-Contiguous County Challenge, and/or The 5x5 State Challenge.

LOGGING YOUR FIND

You may show your qualifying caches by making a public bookmark, posting a screen shot, or include them in your log. Be sure to include the Nation, the icon type, the cache name, GC code and date found in your post. I will verify all finds. Feel free to sign the log at any time but don't log a find until the requirements have been met.

PROJECT-GC CHECKER (BETA VERSION) HAS BEEN CREATED

On July 11, 2018 the wizards at Project-GC created new script that handles the one event criterion for this challenge. I am attaching this beta-version of the checker to help you in determining whether or not you qualify. As a challenge placed prior to the challenge moratorium and the subsequent new rules, this challenge is not required to have such a checker. As such this checker is not the final say on qualifying. If it malfunctions and gives a false positive you may not log this as a find. Having said that, it should make life for you and for me a little easier.
