Spirou et Fantasio, eller Sprint som vi kjenner tegneserien som i Norge, handler om et vennepar som opplever de merkeligste eventyr sammen. Denne Fransk-Belgiske tegneserien tilhører en av de store klassikerne i Norge, sammen med blant andre Lucky Luke, Viggo og Tintin. Serien så sitt første lys på 30-tallet, og ble opprinnelig skapt av Rob-Vel (Robert Velter). Sprint kom ut i Norge for første gang i 1974. For mange vil nok den mest kjente tegner og forfatter av serien være André Franquin, blant annet fordi det var hans album som først ble gitt ut i Norge.
I Norge har sereien til nå (desember 2014) kommet ut med 60 album (hvor Franquin har stått for 21 av disse). I tillegg til hovedpersonene Sprint og Kvikk, vil mange ha et nesten like kjært forhold til flere av seriens bi-figurer som f.eks. Spiralis, Spip, greven av Champignac og ikke minst Viggo.

Spirou et Fantasio, or Sprint in Norwegian, is a comicbook series telling the stories of two companions and their strange adventures. In Norway, this French-Belgian series is on of the great classics alongside Lucky Luke, Gaston Lagaffe and Tintin. The series was born in the late thirties, and was otiginally created by Rob-Vel (Robert Velter). The first Norwegian edition was published in 1974. Many readers will think of André Franquin as the artist behind the series, especially since his albums were the first ones published in Norway.
Sprint is (by end of 2014) published with 60 albums in Norway, out of which Franquin has written 21 of them. Many readers will of course know the main characters, Spirou and Fantasio, but also dear support characters like Spiralis (Marsipulami), Spip, the Count of Champignac and of Course Gaston Lagaffe.
