Out and about placing a few Christmas presents for fellow geocachers. Should be a quick find - maybe - on a relatively adventurous gravel/dirt road. Cache placed on Buffalo Run Road north of Manhattan, KS.
To get to cache location, easiest route probably is to travel north/south on KS Hwy 13. When you reach the intersection with Buffalo Run Road, travel east. This road is a well maintained gravel road for the most part. Once you get done passing those habitats-for-humans, the road sort of loses its graveliness.
After the last house, just east of the intersection with Sales Road, the road starts to go uphill and the road can become questionable - you have been warned!! Not wanting to relive an unpleasant experience I had in Illinois on a road similar to this during this past Thanksgiving Weekend, I placed cache in the first firm spot I encountered.
As for the cache hide, lets just say that you will be searching for something that corresponds with the area/name of road.
