Parrie the Stingray Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LourensFamily: Parrie seems to go AWOL too many times. I will give it a re-think and might redo at a later stage.

Geocache Description:

Simple park and grab at this quaint little harbour.

Parrie has become a bit of a celebrity. Parrie was "Abducted" by the Two Ocean's Aquarium some years ago and returned after an angry response by locals (including my grandmother). Even though everyone only talks about Parrie, there are actually more than one. They usually show up when fishing boats come in and love feeding on the scraps..some brave people even hand feed them. They are an amazing sight to see. Parrie even has a Facebook page at (visit link) The cache is obviously not hidden on Parrie but nearby. The harbour has a lot to offer- the boardwalk on both sides - a great little beach (a great spot to have a swim and also loved by parents with younger children because it's so calm and shallow) - restaurant - fishing boats - Ice Cream - and obviously Parrie and friends. The Waypoint gives some info about Stingrays and is situated close to where you'll most likely see Parrie (or his friends). The cache was originally on the beach but because of massive numbers of muggles it ended up going AWOL too many times. You'll have to take a quick walk on the boardwalk starting at the harbour wall (to your right if you face the sea) to find this one.
