Modern Volos is built on the area of the ancient cities of Demetrias , Pagasae and Iolcos.
Volos is the administrative centre of the Magnesia regional unit.
The cache is placed at the end of the "Κορδόνι" as the locals use to call it. In a free translation we could name it as "The string" but actually it's a breakwater.
You can have access there through a small metallic bridge, and enjoy a long walk by the sea. The feeling when you reaching the spot, is that you are in the middle of the sea. Coming back, is like approaching the harbor, and from the sea level you can have a panoramic view of the city and Pelion mountain.
To locate where the cache is, you have to approach where the lighthouse is and search at the basement. Mind the photo that I shoot recently. Please try not to be spotted from muggles (some times there are many) and compromise the spot. So act with stealth! You have to bring your own pen/pencil to be on the safe side as the pencil I left might be gone. ENJOY.
