We'll meet at the designated parking area (N 30° 38.769' W 095° 25.396') at 07:00, hit the trail at 07:30, stop for lunch when we reach the posted coordinates approximately half way along The Loop, then continue along the trail back to the parking area!
Attending this event will require you to hike between 10-12 trail miles, depending on the route we take. Besides being a rather long hike through the Piney Woods, you will need to be physically able to navigate irregular terrain, and cross various ditches and small ravines along the way that may be holding water. Bring your own lunch, water, and any supplies you may need to complete this adventure. Also, don’t forget that the “facilities” along the way are going to be rather primitive, so you may want to add a roll of your choice to your supplies!
Get some mink oil rubbed into your hiking boots, grab your walking stick, and we’ll see you bright and early on January 24th!
