Geocache Description:

Along the Frazer Homestead trail

This 1.25 mile (one way) segment of the American Camp trail runs along the Frazer Homestead Preserve between Rosler road and then enters American Camp Ntional Historic Park and ends up at the American Camp visitor center parking lot. It's part of a larger Friday Harbor to American Camp trail project that's still in development.

The Frazer Homestead Preserve was acquired by the San Juan County Land Bank to protect farmland and scenic views along Cattle Point Road. The bulk of the 68 acre preserve is leased to a local farmer. If you walk the whole trail, you'll see views across the fields to old homesteads, distant islands, and Mount Baker.

To protect livestock adjacent to the trail, visitors must be sure to leash dogs.

You can visit Frazer Homestead cache as well, just outside the border with American Camp!

And since you're in the area, check out the new American Camp Adventure Lab, created with permission of the National Park Service!
