An interesting spot to ponder a bygone era.
Located on a long unused jetty, this largely forgotten park used to be a favorite boat launching area for local fishermen and vacationers. The concrete you drove over getting to the cache was the launch ramp, as evidenced by the ribbed concrete. The cache's namesake evidently housed a light to guide late boaters safely into the marina. It is now a pooping pillar for area seagulls! Note the changing rooms and bath houses sinking into the desert. A long unused outhouse can be seen to the east. As best as I can determine, this park was left to decay in the early 60's.
