Ever since I was a child we have gone up to Killarney Provincial Park for a canoe trip. On the drive we would always watch for this spot -- a quick glimpse of what was to come: the La Cloche mountains. The view has become more obscured as the trees have grown but if you watch carefully you can still catch a "peek" of Silverpeak! A few years ago a friend suggested I place a geocache at this point & call it "Silver Peek" to mark this special spot. I finally took her up on the suggestion!
The cache is located at the point where you can see the mountain. FOR SAFETY'S SAKE, DO NOT PARK ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD! There is plenty of parking located at the turn off for Bell Lake -- see waypoint. Please park here & make the 2 minute walk back up the road to safely log the cache.
Cache is a small Lock-n-Lock container. At the time of placement, it contained a few small pins from the Canadian Canoe Museum for trade. BYOP, just in case!
Please feel free to post a photo of the peek of the peak!
