Conflux "SPS" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Knagur Green: Unfortunately there has been no update , and the cache has been disabled for 706 days. At this point the road works in the area seems to be the main issue and the caches that were here are going to be long gone.

I am archiving the cache and hopefully sometime in the future the CO will be able to resurrect the series and allow cachers again to follow the SPS series. This will allow those who have found the series before to enjoy a new set of finds

Geocache Description:

To be honest I drove past here and decided to place a cache here.

When I got home I looked at the spot on google earth  and noticed that the bridge actually crosses where the Diep and Mosselbank rivers join each other. From there the name.

Hope you enjoy the cache and free trivia.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In geography, a confluence is the meeting of two or more bodies of water. Also known as a conflux,[1] it refers either to the point where a tributary joins a larger river, called the main stem, or where two streams meet to become the source of a river of a new name, such as the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania creating the Ohio River. The term is also used to describe the meeting of tidal or other non-riverine bodies of water, such as two canals[2] or a canal and a lake.[3] A one-mile (1.6 km) portion of the Industrial Canal in New Orleans accommodates the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and the Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet Canal; therefore those three waterways are confluent there.

The cache itself is easy to retrieve, just please keep an eye out for traffic and be road savvy.

Caching 101

Cache in trash out.
Lets not wait for the next event, but let us all practice this every time  we cache
Im sure together we can make a difference.

Here is a neat idea I saw on a groundspeak forum. Take a small container about the size of a 35mm film container. Put a trash bag in it, and drop it off in a cache. The idea is for the next cacher to use the bag to pick up trash on his/her way out. Replace the bag with a new one and then drop it off in the next cache.
