after rain it can be a little muddy - but also the cascades and streams look better. This cache is a bit tougher, turn off the gravelled path on the bend go through the gap in the wooden barrier, this is a route popular with dog walkers, a couple of gullies and drops to the stream, please be careful especially with youngsters.

Not long ago this open area was surrounded by trees giving shelter and a sense of exploration, it has had to be cleared because of tree disease, and some sections that had to be closed have only recently (2014) been reopened to the public. Some people point out that the views are better. I miss what it was.
