Peoria Cemetery has a semi-unique setting as parts of it are located in two counties. The Northern two-thirds of this cemetery can be found in the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 35 in Indian Creek Township, Story County, Iowa. The Southern one-third of the cemetery is located in the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 2 in Washington Township, Polk County, Iowa. This cemetery is still active and well-maintained.
