Geocache Description:

In memory of the bridge....built in 1888.

On the afternoon of March 21, 1962, a car driven by a 15-year-old gal from Towanda hit the structure while crossing the bridge. The bridge and the car both plunged into the river. The driver, only slightly injured, was able to crawl out the car window and walk to a nearby farmhouse.
