Geocache Description:

A beautiful spot to watch for wildlife in the Derwent, or boats out sailing.

This is a lovely spot just off the Suncoast Headlands walking track. This is a place where you often seen dolphins and sometimes seals and whales frolicking in the water. It's also a great place to watch the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race participants approach the finish line. If you come here on a day when the sea is rough, you may experience what the cache name suggests!

I suggest walking the whole of the track, which is extremely pleasant and popular among locals. There is another cache along the track (not mine).

Please watch small children as there are cliffs near by. Look out for insects that may be around the cache. Snakes may be in the area in warm weather.
The risk of being seen by muggles is moderate, but on a sunny day you may be seen by people using the track or neighbours sitting on their balconies, so as usual be discreet. The cache contains a log book only, so please bring a pen/pencil to sign the log. The container is able to hold some smaller sized trackable items/geocoins.
This is our first cache hide- we hope you enjoy it!
