Conservatoire National de Région
Spécialisé dans l'enseignement de la musique, de la danse et du théâtre, le conservatoire accueille des enfants à partir de 6 ans dans des classes d'initiation musicale et chorégraphique et dès 7 ans dans les classes instrumentales.
En 1978, l'établissement est classé dans la catégorie des Conservatoires Nationaux de Région.
En 1984, le conservatoire déménage dans les locaux qu'il occupe actuellement. Le bâtiment, implanté à deux pas de l'Hôtel de Ville, l'Abbaye aux Dames, d'une surface totale de 7000 m², répartis sur 5 niveaux, abrite notamment le Grand auditorium de Caen avec 879 places et le Petit auditorium du Conservatoire avec 120 places.

Specialized in the teaching of the music, the dance and the theater, the academy welcomes children from 6 years in classes of musical and choreographic initiation and from 7 years in the instrumental classes.
In 1978, the establishment is classified in the category of the National Academies of Region.
In 1984, the academy moves in the places which it occupies at present. The building, implanted just a step from the City hall, the Abbey to the Ladies, of a total surface of 7000 m ², distributed on 5 levels, shelters in particular the Big auditorium of Caen with 879 places and the Small auditorium of the Academy with 120 places.
