Geocache Description:

Welcome to the ‘Dundas Valley Trails’ Series of geocaches.  I do a lot of running throughout this remarkable trail system and I love every minute of it. I’ve placed these caches in order to give you a reason to come explore them for yourself.

These caches will take you along the Sulphur Creek trail and parts of the Monarch Trail. I recommend parking at the end of Turnbull Rd which is the trailhead for the Sulphur Creek Trail. I have waypointed parking. Collect the information provided in each cache in order to assemble the coordinates for the final (DVTS 9 - The FINAL: GC5JMNO). These caches will either be regular sized containers with lots of swag inside and lots of room for travel bugs and geocoins, or something creative and a little off the beaten path. I’ve done my best to make them winter friendly since winter exposes a whole different kind of beauty in these trails. They will also be kid friendly, so please bring the family for a great day in a natural setting.

When I was a kid I was told that timbits were made from punching holes into doughnuts. That made a lot of sense at the time, but now I know better. However, I still don’t understand how large holes appear in the trunks of large healthy trees. Oh well, at least they make good hiding spots for geocaches. There are no sugary treats here, but lots of swag in a large lock n’ lock container. Please feel free to trade items but remember to trade even, or trade up!

Please bring your own pen and return the cache exactly as you found it so that the next person can enjoy it as well.

FOR THE FINAL: please make note of the Dundas Valley Conservation Area Fact taped to the lid of the container.

Congratulations to JayJayCache on the cold and dark FTF!
