This is a simple four part multi that will start you in the main parking lot by the boat ramp. You will need to collect the last number on each slip at each stage to get the last three digits of the coords for the final. There is parking fairly close to each stage of the cache, but if you want a long hike you can do that too. Stage one will lead you to Stage 2 and so on. If you are clever you may be able to figure it our without having to get all the stages. Either way the real fun starts trying to get to the final.
I have rated the terrain based on the toughest part of the trek. Use caution as the final area is steep and slick with the leaf litter. There is a deer trail that moves diagonally down the hill but even if you find it the terrain is still a 3 to 3.5. DO NOT APPROACH FROM THE GOLF COURSE...the cache is not on the Golf Course. You must approach from the park. Please note Stage 3 is the most exposed (there just is not a lot of available real estate left in the park). Use stealth when approaching this stage. Please be sure to reseal the baggies to help ensure the stages last longer. Good luck and happy caching.
Cache is a large container hidden with geoflauge. Please rehide as found, and be sure lid is back on tight. The park closes ½ hour after sunset. Happy New Year!
Congrats goes to Karen-Lonnie for the FTF!
The final can be found at N38° 43.410 W090° 28.***.

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy. Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
