Maryland Geo-Art comes to Germantown and some of the areas close as well. These caches consist of simple puzzles with a fun end result. Most of the endings are gadget caches, field puzzle caches, TOTT required caches, and some simple Tupper in the woods with a theme. Most of these will be a short hike or Park and Grab. The idea is continue bringing great caches to Maryland and some more Geo-Art. For each cache you are answering or solving the puzzle below. Hints will be included for the final part of each cache and not the puzzle.
This cache idea came from some GR8Cachers known as GR8Caches. We loved the idea and decided to redux this idea to Germantown. The cache is slightly different and composes of the same container. If you have found the other version of this than you know exactly what you are looking for and the puzzle is themed based on the origin of this cache name. Please pay attention to the trail head markers and the way points provided. There have been reported issues with cachers not being able to find the right trail for the other puzzle cache here. So we will provide reference points that will get you close to the cache but to solve GZ you need to figure out the puzzle.
Ghost Coordinates to decrypt only the last three digits bolded. You are solving a puzzle similar to the OYR series that is down south. This consists of using another set of numbers and arithmetic to determine if the answer is correct. The three numbers are located somewhere in the picture below. You are using the LAST THREE digits of that number. Once you find that key you can begin solving the bolded ghost coordinates. Please note you are only solving the bolded coordinates as the first set are set are obviously incorrect based on the other waypoints.
