Maryland Geo-Art comes to Germantown and some of the areas close as well. These caches consist of simple puzzles with a fun end result. Most of the endings are gadget caches, field puzzle caches, TOTT required caches, and some simple Tupper in the woods with a theme. Most of these will be a short hike or Park and Grab. The idea is continue bringing great caches to Maryland and some more Geo-Art. For each cache you are answering or solving the puzzle below. Hints will be included for the final part of each cache and not the puzzle.
This cache is themed after Red arguably the first geocacher. We placed this cache matching the best we could with what we have. We hope you enjoy it and have some time to enjoy the goodies inside. Andy: If you ever get out of here, do me a favor.
Cacher: Sure, Andy. Anything.
Andy: There's a big park up near Boyds. You know where Boyds is?
Cacher: Well, there's... there's a lot of Parks up there.
Andy: One in particular. It's got a rock pile with lots of trees at the east end. It's like something out of a Robert Frost poem. It's where I asked my wife to marry me. We went there for a picnic and made love under those trees and I asked and she said yes. Promise me, Cacher. If you ever get out... find that spot. At the base of that pile, you'll find a rock that has no earthly business in a Maryland Park. Piece of black, volcanic glass. There's something buried under it I want you to have.
Cacher: What, Andy? What's buried under there?
Andy Dufresne: You'll have to pry it up... to see.
