How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a copse of ash and sycamore trees and is known as "19 Trees".  Some say they were planted to mark the graves of 19 men killed in a skirmish between Roundhead and Royalist soldiers during the English Civil war.
It is also suggested that they may commemorate a coaching accident. (that's coaching, not caching!) Whatever the truth the legend also states that when a tree dies it must always be replaced to maintain the 19.
The cache only has room for a log and might need tweezers to extract.
Please re hide carefully exactly as found.
Can be done as a cache n dash but watch out for other vehicles and keep an eye on geokids/hounds.  You are close to a junction so please think about where you park. Also the are is accessible to wheelchairs but cache will be hard if not impossible to retrieve from a chair.

BYOP as small container. Please replace EXACTLY as found, it needs to be the right way up otherwise it may fall out of its hiding place. Please note that if you find a small plastic box at ground level that is adrift of the given cords you have not found this cache. What you have found is an unpublished cache that has not followed the placement rules. Please do not claim 19 trees unless you find a carefully camoflaged micro.
