Geocache Description:

We enjoy living in Randolph County and its landscape. It occured to us that there should be a way to see the size and beauty of our county and so we have started placing caches at or near the boundary lines. As always, please be respectful of property and return the caches as found. Thanks.

Travelling along State Route #62, there are many  roads that are interconnecting and also cross in and out of Randolph County. State Route #220 is also one of the main roads that intersect. Also know as 220 Business this was one of the main arteries that ran North and South thru North Carolina carrying commuters and truckers to their various destinations. Nowadays, Interstate #73 does most of the main load of travel as it is much faster. Because of the construction of "The By-Pass," many smaller roads were cut off and blocked. The particular road here is Old Rockett and Rockett Road, which used to be joined. At the end of Old Rockett, you will see 3 familiar sites. Well, be on your guard as this is the key to seeing that the boundary would be located just north of here. Be careful as there is logging debris in the area. As always, repair or replace as necessary.
