This is the sister cache to Cartland meets a Pineapple; who could resist Dad meeting a Pineapple? You may want to bring some tweezers. We've given this a higher than expected difficulty rating as it can get pretty busy here and you are rather exposed.
From this cache you can see the large and varied Highbury Park. It contains Bronze Age burnt mounds, of which there are quite a few in the West Midlands (Moseley Bog has some too). I like to think of them as the remains of communal hot baths. It was also the site of a medieval field system. However, in more recent times the parkland belonged to Highbury Hall which was built by Joseph Chamberlin and named after his childhood home (Highbury Place) in Islington North London.
Highbury Park is home to ring necked parakeets as well as herons and bats :D It is has an apiary and an orchard community! You can find out about events at the park, as well as the history of it here and here.
Enjoy the cache and the park if you can :D
