Geocache Description:

We had to come to the park for cache maintenance, and we all know what that means: more caches to add to the series.

Kill Creek Park is a Johnson County Parks & Recreation District park located in western Johnson County between De Soto and Olathe. It is the third regional park in the District’s system. Opened in 2001 the park, easily accessible and yet secluded, encompasses 884 acres. Nestled within the park's beautiful natural setting are four picnic shelters, a swimming beach, a marina, and over 17 miles of trails including hiking, mountain bike and equestrian trails and an asphalt trail for walking, hiking and bicycling. This cache is placed to comply with District guidelines. Park hours are 5am to 11pm for March through October and 7:30am to 8pm for November through February.

When warm weather returns, ticks will definitely be abundant. PI and snakes may also be around.
