River Spirit
Collylands Roundabout B9140 - Collylands to Fishcross.
Installed – June 2011
‘River Spirit’ was the first of Andy Scott’s installations within Clackmannanshire. At nearly 6 metres high, the statue depicts a female figure emerging from a tree base. Her foliage hands hold high the ribbon shape of the nearby River Forth. This river helped to shape Alloa’s industrial past, allowing international trade to the east and the New World.
