A while back GC3VAY3 was up for adoption. Before deciding to adopt it, I visited the Chinook Bend Natural Area to find the cache and walk around. It's a beautiful area with great access to the Snoqualmie river. It's a place I knew I'd want to visit again regularly. Hopefully you will too!
The cache is a small lock'n'lock suitable for small trinkets and trackables. Using the parking lot coordinates, start your walk on the main path. Take this to the river and then turn left and follow the old road alongside the river. The road ends and becomes a trail shortly before reaching Ground Zero. Follow alongside a set a fallen trees almost to the end and you'll find the cache.
1/31/15: Adding another half star to the terrain. I visited the cache today and due to the recent floods, parts of the trail are completely covered by fallen trees. I was able to follow along side the river to find a safe way back to the trail but it's a bit steep in a small part.
