You are looking for a golden 30 cal. ammo can filled with coins.
Welcome to the John Robb lean-to, a great place to spend the night or just enjoy view. This lean-to was rebuilt in 2009 thanks to volunteers in the Catkill 3500 club and NYNJ trail confrence. The orginal Lean-to here was lost to fire in 2004. The easiest approach to this cache would be to park at the second to last DEC parking lot at the end of Spruceton Rd. Follow the wide blue blazed Spructon trail towards Hunter Mountian for just over 2 miles before turning off onto the short side trail to the lean-to. Just past the lean-to is an amazing view looking south. Find the cache by droping down off the ledge from the view point. From here you may return to the main trail and continue up another mile to the second highest peak in the Catskills, Hunter mountian. A climb to the top of the fire tower provides 360 views. Other longer approaches can be made using the many trails that take you to the top of Hunter mountian. The shortest route would be to take the chairlift at Hunter Mountian ski area to the top of Colonel's Chair and follow the yellow blazed Colonel's Chair trail for one mile to the intersection with Spructon Trail and the drop down just 2 tenths a mile to GZ. Any which way you approach, I highly recommend a good map and don't plan on having cell service.
