Rather early in my first year of geocaching, I was interested in going after a FTF just over the ridge here, so I contacted a few of my new caching friends to see if they might be interested in a hike. One of them countered with an offer to do it over the weekend, and I explained that I had to work a bake sale for my son's school, then I backed up my response with a picture of the cookies I was in the process of making. The prompt and snarky response was that my masterpieces looked like "something I'd scraped off the bottom of my hiking boots." "REALLY? Well, I never...!" Thus, a phrase was coined, and 'Boot-Bottomed Cookies' became a staple for a while at several of our local events. Now my children, my husband, and even my parents, when they are in town, request them by name. The 'Snark King' who named them has even since shown a preference for them himself, so I've mostly forgiven him for the initial insult. Mostly. When I saw this tin, well...I didn't have the heart to cover it up with any kind of camo. It shouldn't be too hard to spot once you get to GZ.
The cache is full of kid-friendly SWAG. Please trade appropriately; used movie tickets and business cards are really just trash after all.
Happy caching!
