The Waitawheta pipeline track is part of the Karangahape walkway.
This part of the walkway is reasonably flat and you can start at the Karangahape carpark on SH2 or at Dickey's Flat campground.
You can continue up the hill and continue the loop via the Dubbo 96 track and No 7 level track.
Please bring a torch if you want to explore the tunnels or old mines.
