The cycle and walking track now provides a safe option taking pedestrians and cycles away from the busy traffic on State Highway 1, from the narrow bridge on the edge of Blenheim, right through to Grove Town. More is being worked on and then intention is for it to come all the way to Spring Creek.
This cache is designed as an easy bike ride from Blenheim, but there a numerous ways you can get here. If driving the best / safest place to park is in the vicinity of a nearby cache - Mapped (Aberhearts road intersection).
DO NOT PARK ON THE HIGHWAY, CROSS THE TRAIN TRACKS OR DRIVE DIRECTLY TO THE CACHE!!!
Caution with small children, some sections of the cycle track further along are not fenced off from the train tracks, it's still safe to use but keep an eye on them.
This now provides a great option for walking or cycling from Blenheim out to the Grove Tavern for a drink or meal.
Please return cache as found, and ensure adequately hidden. Classic cache location that should be obvious. You are looking for a small systema container with only a logbook. BYOP. There is room for small TB's etc.
