The walk starts in The Thicket at St Ives and goes through to Houghton, past the National Trust Houghton Mill, across Hemingford Meadows (sometimes cattle here but not when setting) to Hemingford Abbots which has a handy pub! On to Hemingford Grey and across more Hemingford Meadows (there are usually plenty of sheep here who seem very used to walkers), back into St Ives, past the All Saints Parish Church and back to The Thicket.
When setting most of the walk was dryish (January) but the Meadows are quite squishy in winter.
There is plenty of parking near the S Ives Recreational Centre in Westwood Road.
