Geocache Description:

Having just moved to the area, I've discovered a bit of a caching dark spot in Whitby!  This is a mini series of caches placed on roads/areas with Wood in the name (or related to wood!).  

The cache is placed in an urban setting just off a fairly busy road, in one of the little pond areas on the Stanney Oaks estate. The cache is not at the water edge but please do take care of kids near the open water. The cache is an unusual container which a little bird told me about.

TO ACCESS THE LOG BOOK: Un-peel the green sticky tape on the base, you will see the log container. You don't need to pull this out of its container, simply unscrew the lid and shake the log out. You may still require the help of a friend with slim fingers. If you are struggling you should be able to shake the whole log container out of the cache, but please do your best to replace properly, or send me a note so it can be reset. thank you !
