St Luke's is the original parish church for Burpham, built in 1858 as a chapel of ease in the parish of Worplesdon at a cost of £1000. The architect was Mr Woodyer of Graffham.

At the starting co-ordinates you will see the war memorial and a little way up the path towards the church door you will see two benches on the left of the path.  You are looking for the bench closest to the church.  Using the information on the memorial and plaque on the bench find the following:

The bench

A = the number of letters in the gentleman's 1st name PLUS 1
B = the number of letters in his last name MINUS 1
C = double the last digit of his age

The memorial

D = number of letters in Mr Stillwell's middle name
E = number of men with the surname Williams
F = number of men with the surname Gunner Minus the number with the surname Durrant minus the number with the surname Knight

please don't rush off to the cache just yet - stop a while and reflect on what those men, and millions more, sacrificed.

The cache can be found at:  N51 15.ABC   W0 32.DEF
