This lovely area known as Kumbartcho Sanctuary is built on the location of a previous tourist attraction called Bunya Park Zoo. Bunya Park Zoo was a wonderful place that had many animals including kangaroos, wombats, reptiles, peacocks and birds. Other attractions included a walk-through aviary, walking trails and a suspension bridge!
This cache will take you to two of those three attractions - the suspension bridge and the walking trails! The posted coordinates will take you to the suspension bridge where you will work out the final coordinates. To get to the final cache location you will then have a quick walk through one of the beautiful walking trails through Kumbartcho.
You will have lots of fun on the bridge, as it wobbles a bit - great for kids! It is also a beautiful area in the vicinity of the bridge. After rain, the spillway usually runs, causing a bit of a waterfall under the bridge!
Once at the bridge you can calculate the final cache coordinates using the following formula:
S 27° 20.AAB E 152° 56.CCD
where:
- AA = The total number of planks on the bridge - 9.
- B = The number of screws on an individual plank of the bridge.
- CC = The number of elephants you can see from the middle plank of the bridge + 19.
- D = The number of small, yellow, concrete pads at the end of the bridge (include BOTH ends)
Once you have the coordinates, enjoy the stroll. You are looking for a small, but it should be easy to find with the clue! :)
As always, good luck!
Congratulations to EngPhil, Barbbowman and FastEd for your FTF!
