This statue is Panda Around Town by Jody Bergstresser. This metropolitan panda shows various Washington, D.C. vistas, including the Kennedy Center, the Taft Bridge, stained glass windows of the National Cathedral, boats on the C&O Canal, the U.S. Capitol Building, and Chinatown. The artist wanted to "represent what Washington has to offer the world" and show "Washington's great building achievements, its fascinating history, and its wonderful tourist attractions."
